darkwoman is the alterego of Elisabeth Frater who is a wine, food and travel writer. Formerly the wine columnist for the Washington, D.C. publication Legal Times, and a restaurant reviewer for AOL/Digital City she has also written articles for Wine Enthusiast, Wines and Vines, the Napa Valley Register and the Washingtonian. She has tasted and written about wines from around the world, has served as a wine judge, and is the author of Breaking Away to Virginia and Maryland Wineries published by Capital Books.
